Kare Bears is in DIRE need of PebbleCreek volunteer drivers who are willing to take residents to medical related appointments.

Our Transportation Program

Kare Bears volunteer drivers transport residents to and from medical / rehab / dental appointments when they are unable to do so themselves. The program offers this service to our neighbors for occasional such needs, but not intended for recurring appointments of repetitive nature.

You will have access to our computer system on your phone, tablet or computer. All information about requested rides is shown - date, times, locations, etc.- then you can choose on-line to handle a ride as you wish.

You must have Insurance at certain limits. Although your liability insurance policy is primary, Kare Bears does hold a secondary insurance policy to cover drivers.

What you should know if you are interested in becoming a driver:

• You can choose as little or as much as you want to drive.
• You can choose how far you want to drive or how often.
• You can choose not to drive a resident requiring medical equipment.
• You will use your own vehicle to transport to and from medically related doctor's appointments.
• Your insurance is primary and Kare Bears insurance is secondary.
• You will use your phone, tablet or computer to learn of ride requests from residents, which you can then accept on-line there.
• If you choose, you can be reimbursed by Kare Bears for mileage per the current IRS rate.

• Your Driver's License
• Your insurance information
• Completed "Driver Information Packet"

How to get started

Complete the on-line Kare Bears Interest form at the link shown, or come in to the Kare Bears House during normal hours and the staff will help you complete the form.

After receiving the submitted form, the Kare Bears Transportation Coordinator will contact you with next steps for more information needed and forms to fill out.
