Monetary Donations
Kare Bears is 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization (Federal Tax ID: 86-0819596). Donations to Kare Bears may be tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Kare Bears has no membership dues. Sources of income include an annual support campaign, memorial gifts and donations from individuals, community organizations and fundraisers.
Donations to support our operations, medical equipment, and assistance services are encouraged and appreciated; as well as consideration of Memorial and Honor Gifts for designated giving.

Donating Medical Equipment
Kare Bears also accepts donated medical equipment at Kare Bears House, but only regular business hours.
A receipt for your donation must be issued, so please DO NOT just leave items in the entrance-way.
Note also that we ONLY accept those types of items we loan: canes, crutches, grabbers, knee scooters, ramps, transport chairs, walkers (2-wheel & 4-wheel) and wheelchairs.
Event Fees
Rarely, some Kare Bears events such as exhibiting at the Health Fair may have fees. Use the same PayPal or Zelle method s outlined below to pay these fees. (Note that PayPal presents as a "donation")
How to donate or make a payment
We support both PayPal and Zelle as easy, safe and convenient ways to donate to Kare Bears, or to make a payment.
To donate using Zelle, scan the QR code from your personal banking APP for making a payment. It will specify Kare-ing Neighbors which is our legal name.

Do I need an account?
Not for PayPal - Just select the "Pay with Debit/Credit Card" option at the PayPal screen.
For Zelle you must have Zelle established as a payment method at your bank.
Do I get a receipt?
Both payment systems will send you an email receipt of the transaction, and/or you may print the receipt directly from the transaction completion screen.
