NOTES:
• Kare Bears is only a connection – we make the information available, but we do not vet, recommend any particular agency or services.
• Kare Bears is meant to be a temporary fix while the resident sets up more permanent arrangements.
• Our volunteers are fellow residents. Services are available as long as we have volunteers who are willing to do the job. There are no professional or paid staff.
These questions are not intended to be an exhaustive listing of questions (a cap of 50 questions so as to not overwhelm).

Yes. The appointment needs to be medically related (doctors, labs, physical therapy). The ride is only to-and-from the appointment. Need Board input on the following in alignment with our Policies.
i. The Driver will not help you in or out of your vehicle, you must be ambulatory.
ii. The Driver will not go to your appointment with you, nor be your responsible person.
iii. The Driver will not stop for an errand either to or from the medical related appointment
iv. Kare Bears volunteers are not trained caregivers or healthcare professionals
